Byron was born at a very early age at Pine Mills, TX. He was saved at the age of eight at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, baptized in the lake at his family ranch, and licensed as a preacher in 1967 by Mt. Pisgah. Byron earned a BBA from East Texas State University majoring in Accounting. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1975 by Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church in Dallas. Byron lived in the eastern suburbs of Dallas from 1967 until him & his wife Pat moved to Pagosa Springs in 2006. Pat and Byron have four children & nine grandchildren
