We, at Centerpoint, believe strongly in the power of prayer as it is our greatest Christian privilege. Please let us know how we can pray for you or others by submitting the Prayer Request Form.
Please keep the following in your prayers:
Elizabeth Bailey - Elizabeth had a MRI on May 9th and Praise God, the tumor showed no growth! The Bailey's thank everyone for their prayers. Continued prayer that the tumor remains stable.
Jason Kain – a malignant tumor was found on his brain, though this is the kind of tumor that responds well to radiation. Jason will have radiation once a week for about 15 months. Praise God he has not had any side effects. Lift up Jason’s wife, Allison as well as they deal with this situation. Pray that the radiation shrinks and kills the tumor entirely and for him to continue to feel so well.
Phil Rizzo - The results from the PET scan showed Phil still has cancer in his bone marrow. Not 100% cancer like it was in the beginning, but there is some cancer in the bone marrow. Phil’s doctor said that Phil’s T cells could kill off the cancer; please keep this in your prayers. Phil has blood work in July and then a PET scan in October. Please continue to pray for Phil. He still has nerve pain from his shingles and struggles with that daily. Phil and Marie thank you for your prayers.
Mike Turner—Mike has cancer & has recently begun 21 days of chemo along with steroids. Pray that the chemo will be effective. Lift Mike’s family up in prayer, his wife Alice, daughters Alisha and Larissa. Please also specifically pray for Alice as she deals with this stressful situation.
Joe Lee—Joe and Pat Lee just returned from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Joe was diagnosed with having a G.I.S.T. - Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor, a soft tissue sarcoma. This is very rare and less than 1% of all G.I.S.T.s are found outside the G.I. tract. Joe’s is located on his liver and is about the size of an orange. The #1 treatment for G.I.S.T. is to surgically remove it. This tumor is tangled among arteries, veins, and a main duct and therefore inoperable. The #2 treatment is a targeted therapy called Gleevec, taken daily in pill form. Radiation and/or chemotherapy are not effective treatments. The goal of Gleevec is to shrink the tumor and keep it in check. Medically speaking, the prognosis is that 50% of G.I.S.T. patients survive 5 years or more. Joe has been on the Gleevec since Feb. 16th and has not side effects. The PET scan did not show cancer anywhere else. Praise God! It is anticipated that the next PET scan in 10 - 12 weeks to show the tumor shrinking! Joe has no symptoms and is feeling good. Please lift up Joe and Pat in your prayers, for Joe to continue to be feeling so well and side effect free.
Barbara Baldwin– Katharine Frisbee’s sister, Barbara Baldwin, who is 69 years old, lives in New York, and has bone, colon, lung and liver cancer (stage 4). The “10 sessions over 2 weeks” radiation to her sternum that was done some time ago failed. Barbara and her family are waiting to find out when her next bone radiation session will begin. Please pray for Barbara, her family, for God's will & doctors wisdom as they proceed with treatment.
Patt Gammill —Patt is doing much better; please continue to pray for relief from pain. Praise God for this improvement!
Our Troops—Please continue to pray for all our women & men who are serving in the military around the world.
Connie Davidson—Miles has Alzheimer's and is continuously getting worse. Pray for Miles well being and for Connie’s patience as it is a 24/7 situation.
